The Parent Champion is excited to get to know you and your child. Together we can plan, improve or change your child’s daily school experience. The Parent Champion is an educational consulting firm for families that espouses happy students. As partners with your family, you can expect help navigating the complexity of your child’s educational journey.
The Parent Champion believes that happiness is the most important aspect of a child's day to day experience. We respect children's passions and look for ways to use their interests to foster happiness in their school days. If school is not a happy place, changes need to be made. But, that does not necessarily mean changing schools. Through long and short term action planning, understanding of local support systems which are available both in and out of your specific school or school district, and a comprehensive understanding of your child’s strengths and weaknesses, we will holistically improve your child’s school experience.

About Me
As a career educator, I have worked with families and children of all ages. I am passionate about getting to know each child’s interests, strengths and weaknesses. I respect that each child has a unique journey through their school years and work tirelessly to ensure that a child finds joy each day, even if the school environment has been a place of struggle or stress. My goal for each child is not just to improve a child’s school journey; I am determined to improve each child’s daily enjoyment in life.
Whether your child is diagnosed with a specific learning style, is neurodivergent, is dedicated to a specific interest, or is transitioning to a new school community, I will help you both understand and advocate for their own learning needs. I help families understand and interpret Individualized Education Plans in layman terms while also looking for additional ways to improve the quality of a child’s school experience.
Working with both parents and students, I will always listen to the successes and challenges facing the child and family. Through recommendations for classroom and lifestyle accommodations, school placement and advocating for the child’s interests and needs, both in school and in the community, I will help guide parents and students through short and long term tasks to attain specific goals. While each family’s goals for their child will differ, the overarching purpose of working with The Parent Champion is to improve the overall happiness and confidence of a child in their school environment, family and community.
